Best Restaurants -(Regional)
Cesarina
(Restaurants - Regional)
Via Piemonte 109
Rome 00187
06-42013432
Description:
When this popular restaurant off Via Veneto first opened in 1960, owner Césarina Masi relentlessly watched over her staff as they prepared the Emiliana-Romagna cuisine (and her regular customers as they cleaned their plates). The restaurant has changed very little since Federico Fellini used to frequent it and since Cesarina's death in the 1980s. Attentive staff members continue to present a selection of meats to each table on a rolling trolley. The meat trolley is still followed by a variety of pastas and different sauces. Reservations recommended. METRO: Barberini, BUS: 52, 53, 56, 58, or 95

From marzipan cookies to Modica chocolate and ice cream, Ciuri Ciuri satisfies even the sweetest tooth. The Sicilian chef works in the back of the shop; from noon to 2pm, he bakes delicious arancini (fried rice balls with various savory sauces).

Rome 00186
06-6873434
Description:
Visit this chic but informal restaurant for an afternoon meal and dine among familiar politicians and local journalists. Authentic Roman cuisine is served with a different dish featured daily.
